Snow Fun and Valentine's Day!

Sorry for the late post, but we left Thursday for a wonderful long weekend in Kiawah with Noni and Granddaddy. More info and pics about that on Thursday. Well, we had our first big snow in Atlanta. We got about 4 inches and was the good snow for snowman making. We had so much fun! We even got to go sledding in our yard. We didn't have a sled but a baking sheet worked just fine. Jackson wasn't so sure about it in the beginning, but once I went down  with him he had so much fun!! I don't know that we will get many of those opportunities living in the south. As far as new things with Jackson, our biggest thing is that he has figured out how to open the doors. Therefore, we have to keep them all locked. He also continues to try to walk up and down the stairs, which makes mommy very nervous! We have also added a new word....dog! Other than that things are going great! Here are some pics from the week!!

Putting the final touches on the snowman.
Jackson's first snowman!!
Jackson running to go into the snow. He was very excited!!
Happy Valentine's Day! We made daddy his favorite sugar cookies. Jackson was much better at eating the icing than actually decorating the cookies!
Jackson licking all the icing off the sugar cookies.
That was delicious mom!
Jackson's new favorite game. He loves to put the carrot in his mouth and feed it to Emma. Often he will give it to Emma and then take it right back out of her mouth and run. He loves when she chases him! Well, tune in Thursday for pics from the beach!!

Crazy Boy!

It has been a wonderful week at the Nesmith household. The painters have finished and the house looks great! Thanks Aunt Glo for helping us with our color choices! As far as Jackson news, he gets more fun each week. He is definately all boy and loves to climb and get into everything. The teeth keep on coming. He now has his first molar! Jackson is still obsessed with balls, but his new favorite game is for mommy to chase him around the house. He loves to run and look back to see me coming after him. He just laughs and laughs! Well, here are some pics of the week. This is Jackson doing a handstand. After daddy lets him go, he tries to do it himself. It is so funny. He looks like an ostrich with his head buried in the ground. Of course, he will never do it when I have my camera!
Jackson pushing Mary in her car on Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks Aunt Kiera and Uncle Brad for having us over!

Jackson recently found his sunglasses that Noni bought him last year. He loves to try to put him on.

Jackson definately has no fear. This is him at the park going down the big slide. He loves it!

Jackson also loves to play in the drawer under our oven. I think it is so funny because I used to do the same thing. My mom has the same picture of me in a drawer. The resemblance is unbelievable!

Look familiar Mom?

Now that I got everything out of the drawer, I can bring my milk in.

Woohooo!!

This is the best spot in the whole house!

Cheese! We will have to work on that :)

Signing is so much fun!

Sorry for the late post, but we have been very busy this week. This past week we got almost our entire interior of our house painted, so we have had to stay out of the house most days. Thanks to Aunt Kiera for letting us crash at her place so that Jackson could take his nap. We have had a big week with Jackson as well. First of all, we have completely dropped the bottle. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to sleep without his nighttime bottle, but I have now realized that it was harder on mommy than Jackson! We also have another tooth coming in. His 3rd bottom tooth has erupted making a grand total of 7 teeth! Jackson has also added 2 words to his vocabularly...oh yeah and ball.  Probably the biggest change is that Jackson started signing this week. I used to use sign language quite a bit with Jackson from about 6 months to 10 months, but really haven't used it that much since then. Well, it just goes to show you how much they learn even that young because after Jackson went down the slide at Kangazoom, he signed "more" and has been using it ever since. He will also sign "all done" and "water" (sometimes). Well, here are some pics from the week! The first one is Jackson at his first art class. We made it through the entire class without ingesting any crayons!
Jackson picking out his next color. His project was a snowman.

Every Thursday morning we go to a music class at Southern Prep. Just recently has Jackson really gotten into it. This is him "dancing" to the music.

Jackson loves to jump into the foam pit at Southern Prep all by himself!

We are in a major ball obsession right now. Every time he sees a ball he has to go get it and throw it.

Jackson found some hula hoops and loved to try to walk around with them.

Now should I hula with the blue one or the pink one?

Daddy would be proud...he handed me the pink hula hoop and kept the blue one.

Peek a Boo!
