6 Months!!

Jackson is officially 6 months old and what an amazing half year it has been! We have moved on from just oatmeal to fruits and veggies! Jackson is definately like his daddy and hates anything green. The only way I can get him to eat it without gagging is to mix it with a little fruit. Jackson continues to be very vocal with lots of dada, lala, baba, and even an occaional mama. He is also getting much better on his tummy. He can now move himself 360 degress to try to get to a toy and even propel himself backwards. I don't think he realizes he is doing it, but his arms and legs are definatley getting more coordinated. We had a wonderful week filled with water experiences! Jackson went into the swimming pool and actually enjoyed it! We also went over to our friend Melissa's house and she had an adorable splashpad that Jackson had so much fun in. I think we are going to have to make the purchase! Here are some pics from the week and some leftover from last week. Enjoy!

Since the drought is over in Georgia, the fountain in the square is back on!

I love you Noni!

I miss you Noni and Granddaddy! Come back soon!!

We got to babysit Mary this week and the babies were so funny. All the toys at Kiera's house and all they wanted to play with was my shoe!

Jackson and Mary watching Mickey Mouse. Mary gets so excited when it comes on. It is so cute!

Where is that baby's clothes?

We celebrated Greg's first Father's Day! Jackson was very excited to give daddy his putter. I love you Daddy!!
Daddy and Jackson at the PGA store. Before we know it, daddy will be teaching Jackson how to swing a golf club. Well, on second thought, maybe we should leave that to the professionals :)
Bye Bye!

26 weeks and Baptism!

Well, Jackson is officially 6 months old and baptized! We had a wonderful baptismal weekend! Thank you Noni, Granddaddy, Aunt Glo, Uncle Joe, Cortney, and Scooter for making the trip to celebrate Jackson's special day! Also, thank you Aunt Kiera, Uncle Brad and Cousin Mary for coming as well. Jackson did great during the baptism. Dr. Mathews carried him down the aisle for everyone to see and he was a trooper. Our family also became members of the church that Sunday so after church everyone came up to greet and welcome us and Jackson smiled the whole time! After the service, Anna and I threw a brunch for Jackson and Nathaniel, who was also baptized. Both babies were little angels the entire time. There were a lot of pictures taken so next week will be a continuation. Here are a few to enjoy now!

Jackson with his first taste of watermelon. He loved it!

Jackson enjoying a little tummy time.

Jackson was playing with a paper towel and of course he put it in his mouth. While he was playing, it ripped and he thought it was so funny!

The family before the big baptism!

Dr. Mathews and the family. While walking Jackson down the aisle, Dr. Mathews thought Jackson may have also christened his outfit, but it was a false alarm! Whew!!

The proud parents.

My angel on church lawn. We had to put the changing pad down because it was a little damp, and I didn't want to ruin his outfit.

Proud mommies of baptized boys!

The boys with their cake. Nathaniel was taking a little snooze on mommy. So sweet!

6 more months and I will be able to try a piece!

25 weeks!

Jackson is almost 6 months old and we have had a busy week! We continue to have firsts with the biggest one being that Jackson is now saying "dada". I recorded it the first time he said it and I was kind of hoping it was a fluke so I could surprise Greg and play it on Father's Day. Jackson had other plans and the next morning when Jackson woke up all you could hear from the monitor was him saying "dada". The first word being dada does have some perks. Now I can just roll over in bed and say Jackson is calling you! Jackson also went to his first church service. Despite the fact that the service was right in the middle of his morning nap, he did perfectly! We did have to walk out at one point not because he was crying, but because he is so vocal when he is playing. Jackson also had his first taste of sweet potatoes. He is not quite sure if he likes it, but we are going to keep trying. We have been quite busy this week getting ready for Jackson's baptism on Sunday. We are so excited to have Noni, Granddaddy, Aunt Gloria, Uncle Joe, and Cortney here for the big day. Here are some pics from the week. The above picture is from our trip to the zoo. As you can see, Mary is much more interested in Jackson than anything else!

We went over to our friend Kim's house for dinner. She has three little girls and Jackson was a big hit. He loved playing with them and just kept giggling! This is Sarah giving Jackson a big hug!

Jackson laughing at the girls. He is a flirt already!

Mary has the best toys! Can I have one mom?

Jackson and Mary taking a bath together. The kids were very slippery, but had a great time!

Jackson on the church lawn looking at everything except mommy with the camera!

Jackson catching a little snooze before we arrive at the next store.

Planning a baptism party is hardwork!

I thought the shirt was appropriate. It says "Caution Teething".

Bye Bye! Next week when I see you I will be baptized!!

24 weeks!

Jackson is now 5 1/2 months! We had a wonderful weekend visiting with Mike and Charmaine who made the trip from North Carolinia. They are expecting their little girl to arrive September 1st, so they were able to get a dose of life as parents! Jackson also had his second trip to downtown and actually enjoyed it much better. We had lunch with friends and Jackson was a big hit! Jackson continues to do new things each day. He is really sitting well to the point where I no longer have to sit behind him. I do put pillows behind him just in case he should take a tumble. He is also much more dexterous and loves to grab the smallest item on toys such as tags or small pieces of ribbon. He is also started the slapping stage where he loves to bang on everything even his own leg. He has also learned how to drink out of a water bottle. Now if he sees me drinking from one, he gets upset until I give him a drink as well. He sure is spoiled!! We have also entered to the wonderful drooling stage. He always drooled a little bit, but now it is to the point that he is going to have to start wearing a bib. Teeth hurry up and come in! Here are some pics from the week.

Sujatha and Jackson eating lunch in the city before she took off for Paris. Hope you are having fun!

Who needs a sippy cup when you have water bottles?

This is a picture of Jackson as I introduced his new toy the rolling ball. He is not quite sure what this thing is.

A couple of minutes later....it is the greatest toy on earth. Jackson is very vocal when he is playing so this picture is in mid yell.

I love sitting up like a big boy!

This picture is the day before the drool-athon began. Notice just the small drool spots.

And here we are with the drool full force!

Nice big drool spot.

This is a picture of Jackson in a full on giggle. I love when he smiles big because he crinkles his nose up like his daddy does.
I couldn't resist taking all the pictures while he was laughing.
Still laughing.
Jackson holding the sippy cup by himself like a big boy. He drinks a little bit from it, but mostly he uses is as a teething ring.
