Tired Daddy

Daddy was very tired after all his hardwork, but he did such a great job!

Jackson's room Part II

Uncle Brad and Daddy spent all Saturday afternoon putting crown molding up in Jackson's bedroom. It was not easy, but in the end it was a great success! Now his room is complete and all we need is a baby.

37 weeks!!

Finally, Jackson is full term. Although there are no guarantees, it is a relief to know that if he should be born now everything should be fine! Everything went great at my last doctor's appointment, and they think Jackson should arrive in the next two weeks.

35 weeks!

Well I am now 35 weeks pregnant. Nothing much has changed except everything turned out perfectly at our ultrasound. We got to see Jackson's face including his eyes opening and his little mouth. He has chubby cheeks and hair! (He better have hair with my heartburn!) Only 5 weeks or less until he arrives!

Emma at the Party

Emma also had a very good time....maybe a little too good! She even had her first piece of birthday cake. All the excitement made her very sleepy...

Blowing out the Candles

Greg had to struggle to blow out all 33 candles!

The Guests continued

Even Greg's friends Mike and Charmaine from North Carolina made the 4 1/2 drive to surprise him!

The Guests

Most of Greg's friends made the trip to the suburbs for his surprise. Even his niece Mary stayed up to surprise him! She was the perfect guest and quickly went to sleep in Jackson's pack n play so the adults could have some fun!

Greg's Surprise Party

I decided to throw Greg a surprise "last birthday before he becomes a daddy" party for him on Saturday. With Brad and Kiera's help it was an amazing success. I told Greg that Kiera and I had to volunteer an event for Junior League from 2-7 pm. Brad then called Greg and convinced him to go with him to "pick up a file" at his boss's house, which is an hour away. They then did what the Nesmith family does best and looked at houses for the remaining time. We did have to stall him briefly so that all the guests could arrive, but Brad did a great job! This is when Greg came home and got the big surprise!

The Furniture Has Arrived!

This is the chair I plan on spending many sleepless nights in.

Another picture of his toy chest and shelf. Unfortunately, we have not put up the second shelf yet. Greg reassures me that we still have plenty of time.

This is his dresser and changing table. Greg doesn't know it yet, but he will be spending a lot of time there!

Here is the crib where hopefully he will spend his nights. Greg and I are going to try to put him in his room right away, but we shall see......

Jackson's furniture has finally made it. Now that his room is almost complete, it feels more real. I can't believe that in just 6 short weeks we could be bringing home our little boy!

34 weeks!

I am currently at week 34! I can't believe only 6 more weeks to go! I am still feeling pretty good except for the heartburn and sleeping difficulties. I had a doctor's appointment today, and while he was examining me, I had a Braxton-Hicks contraction, so they decided to check to see if I was dilated at all. I wasn't so it looks like Jackson is not ready to make an appearance yet. We are also scheduled for an ultrasound tomorrow because apparently Jackson is taking all the food away from me, and I lost some weight. The doctor said I am measuring normally so more than likely everything is okay, and I will just get to see another snapshot of Jackson!
