8 months and 1 week

It was another wonderful week in the Nesmith household! Jackson has now reverted to traditional crawling and is into everything! His favorite game right now is to try to get to the fireplace before mommy catches him. He will head for the fireplace, stop, sit up and look at me, squeal, and then bolt straight for it. I then pick him up, say danger, and bring him back to his toys. We then repeat this game multiple times throughout the day. Jackson is also pulling himself up on everything including his crib, Emma, Mommy and Daddy. He wants to walk so badly! Jackson is becoming more independent and now wants to feed himself. We have started a lot more finger foods including cheese, peaches, watermelon, and peas. He loves them all. Here are some pics from the week including Mary's 1 year birthday party!!

Jackson's latest toy. He can actually walk by holding onto it. Emma is not quite sure so she stays close to him. He is saying "Phew! This walking is hardwork!!"

Emma keeping guard.

How big is Jackson?

I love to eat!!

Just hanging out under the table.

Where did the puff go?

Trying to pull up on Emma.

Feeding myself is so much fun!

Standing on Emma.

2 spoons are better than 1.

We had the pleasure of watching Mary so mommy and daddy could prepare for her big party. We went to lunch and Willy's and then to PetSmart to see all the puppies. Mary loved all the dogs. We almost had to leave with one!

Party time!

Mary had a bouncy at her party and Jackson loved it!

He would bouce back and forth to get to his daddy.

Too sweet. Jackson is such a lucky boy to have such an amazing, loving, and caring daddy. Mommy is also a lucky girl to have such a great husband.

Mary with her 1 year birthday cupcake!

Jackson got very wet playing on the splash table, but loved it.

Who needs toys when you can play with an empty box?

Vacation and 8 months!

Jackson is officially 8 months old today! We just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Florida Keys. We had the best time and Jackson did great! He was perfect during travel and napped and slept in the pack n play like a trooper. (Thank goodness for the training!) Jackson had so much fun playing with his friends Annie, Sarah Rose, Noah, Jude, Molly, Calvin and Hope. He misses them all already! Jackson is now crawling around like a pro and getting into everything. It is definately time to baby proof! He is also pulling himself up on everything. We had to lower his crib and remove the bumpers because he is able to stand up in the crib by himself. His two lower teeth are now finally in as well. It is so funny to see him smile with two small teeth! There are a lot of pictures from the trip, so enjoy!

I tired to get a picture of his teeth. If you look closely, you can see them.

Our first day at the resort in the keys!

Jackson on the beach. He loved both the ocean and the pool water. He also liked to play in the sand, but didn't realize he could crawl on it. Here he is crawling on the blanket.

The family in the pool.

Surfs up!

Let go of me mommy I can do it myself!

Jackson playing with Noah's dump truck on the beach. What a fun toy!

Jackson and Sarah Rose. Sarah is about 1 month older than Jackson and they had the best time together. They would look at eachother and scream. I wonder what they were saying to eachother?

Jude getting an airplane ride from Jorge. Jude is almost 2.

Older brother Noah. He is 3.

With all the toys on the ground, what does Jackson want to play with? A shoe of course!

One problem with a condo at the beach is the floor gets very dirty. Since Jackson puts everything in his mouth, his face got a little dirty.

Sarah Rose having a great time sitting on daddy's lap.

Annie, who is 3, entertaining Jackson.

Bety's mom babysat the kids so we could have an evening out. Thanks Ruthie!

Jackson playing soccer with daddy.

What is this stuff?

Jackson and daddy playing in the pool.

You can't go on a trip to the keys without getting a tattoo.

See 2 kids are a breeze!

Jackson loved to open the drawers.

I love the beach!

There is nothing better than a fist full of sand!

Our closet had a full length mirror and Jackson loved to look into it. This picture also shows how curly Jackson's hair was with the Florida humidity!

The last day. We were so sad to say goodbye. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again next year!
On a final note. Jackson's 7 month pictures are up on the blog. Go to www.agrgallery.com/blog to see a few. See you next week!

32 weeks!

Well, it was a big week for Jackson! On August 1st, we achieved mobility! Leave it to Aunt Kiera to figure out what to do to get him motivated to move. She placed some goldfish on the ground in front of him, and he army crawled to get them. He has now learned to actually get up on his feet and propel himself forward when he really wants to get to something. Things that get my son moving include food, electrical outlets, and any electronic. Luckily Aunt Sarah prepared us for this day by buying us outlet covers as soon as I told her I was pregnant. Sarah learned the hard way and actually gave herself quite a shock when she was a child. She liked to play house and decided the electical outlet made a perfect door lock and a paperclip a perfect key. Needless to say that was a one time mistake. We also had a wonderful visit from Noni, Granddaddy and GiGi. We are gearing up for our big trip to Florida on Saturday. We have pack n play trained and even bottle trained. To my relief, Jackson drank a bottle without any problems. We are very excited about the trip and will take lots of pictures!

Jackson loved to sit in the cart without the floppy seat. When he is very excited he babbles dada a lot. He was yelling it so loud up and down the aisles that multiple people said "Someone is looking for their dada!"

This is the new cadillac that Noni and Granddaddy bought Jackson. His first car!

I love my first set of wheels!

Noni and Jackson at Mary's birthday party.

Mary's birthday party. We were all wearing winnie the pooh hats!

Mary getting ready for her first taste of cake!

Noni and Granddaddy with the grandkids at the party. We can never seem to get a picture of them both looking at the camera at the same time!

What is this?

The aftermath of the first taste of cake. Time to get in the bath!

Since it was a party, we decided to let Jackson try a little. He loved it so much we couldn't keep his hands out of his mouth.

Give me more mommy!

Time to clean up the mess.

Thanks for visiting GiGi! We can't wait to see you again! The next post won't be until we get back from vacation. Hopefully we will get some good shots! Wish us luck!!
