9 1/2 months and Cortney's Wedding

Well it has been a busy last 2 weeks with lots of pictures to share. Jackson is 9 1/2 months and a busy little bee. He loves to pull up on everything and cruise between things. He has 3 new favorite games...opening up everything, putting and taking various items out of things, and handing things to you. He is very vocal with lots of mamas and dadas. I think he actually knows that I am mama because if I walk away, he will go all over looking for me saying mama. There are a lot of pictures to share because we were lucky to be able to go to Santa Rosa Beach for cousin Cortney's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful with so many precious moments to catch. Get ready!

One of Jackson's favorite places is the spice rack. He is definately his father's child because everytime he open is he goes straight for the Nature's Seasoning!

We stayed at a beautiful house on the beach and this is a picture of Jackson and his daddy swimming in the pool.

Family pool shot!

Family at the rehearsal dinner.

Family with the beautful bride Cortney.

The Bride and Mother of the Bride. I will let you decide which is which ;)

Noni and Jackson at the rehearsal dinner.

Obviously we were having a hard time getting Jackson to look at the camera as evidence by the two wine glasses banging together in the photo.

Cousins Brad, Greg, and Cortney.

This is a much better view!

Jackson and Granddaddy

Let's go to the beach mom!

Whew! Cruising is hardwork.

Jackson loves to point. Here he is pointing at the waves.

Jackson and Daddy on the beach. Jackson loved the sand and water until we took him out on a sandbar. He wasn't quite sure about all the waves.

Wedding on the beach.

The beautiful Mother of the Bride Aunt Glo.

I just love this picture of Jackson and Peebo.

Noni and Granddaddy on the beach.

The weather has cooled down so we have been able to spend a lot more time outside. This is Jackson playing in his yard.

It is hard to appreciate the little mountain that Jackson had to crawl up to get to the tree, but he did it!

Grabbing the tree.

Cruising along the fence.

This picture is so funny to me becuase it looks like he is contemplating his next move.

All right you made it through all of them! Next week shouldn't be so long, but we do have another wedding so we will see!!

9 months!

Well Jackson is officially 9 months old, and I am so sad that I don't have any pictures to post. Apparently, when we were at the beach labor day weekend, some sand got into our camera and it is broken! I feel so naked without it!! We had a wonderful week with mommy celebrating her first birthday with her little boy. Jackson is doing a lot more cruising and is even climbing stairs. We are working on going down backwards, but he doesn't quite get that yet. We have our 9 month appointment tomorrow, which shouldn't be too bad because I think he only gets 1 or 2 vaccines. Greg and I are going to buy a camera this weekend so we should have pics to post next week. Hope everyone has a  great week!

Birthday Countdown!

Labor Day Weekend!

We had a wonderful labor day weekend in NW Indiana. It was sunny and 80 the whole trip! Jackson had so much fun playing with his cousins. We spent the day at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, we went to New Buffalo Michigan to our "yankee" beach (nickname courtesy of daddy), and spent time with my side of the family. Jackson was a great little traveler and actually slept most of the plane ride home. We did, however, learn an important lesson. We cannot sleep in the same room with Jackson. The first night Jackson stayed in the room with us, which did not go over too well. Now that Jackson can pull himself up on anything, when he woke up at 2 AM he was standing and staring right at us! The rest of the trip Jackson had the room and mommy and daddy had the couch. Here are some pics from the trip. The first one is Jackson playing with his cousins at the beach. Katie was the only one who cooperated with the camera!

This trip to the beach Jackson actually crawled through the sand but with his legs instead of his knees.

Jackson dipping his toes into the frigid Lake Michigan water. BRRRRR!

Daddy and Jackson at the beach watching all the boats go by.

Jackson swinging at the beach. Look mom no hands!

WEEEEE!

Breakfast with Grandma Helen.

Nathan and Jackson had so much fun playing on the floor at Panera.

Trip to the zoo! Jackson's favorite animal was the Jaguar. He loved to watch it move back and forth.

Jackson and Cousin Katie.

Jackson getting a better look at Uncle Mike.

Jackson loves to kiss the baby in the mirror. Even if it is a garbage can!

Jackson doing what he does best...putting things in his mouth.

Jackson and Nathan playing cars. Nathan was so funny. He kept saying "Why's he trying to eat it?" "Does he thinks it's food?"

8 1/2 months

Jackson is now 8 1/2 months and continues to amaze me each day. He is learning all sorts of new tricks. He continues to play "So Big", but now will also clap. It is so cute! He also likes to give mommy and daddy kisses. It melts my heart. His favorite trick by far is still pulling up. He loves to pull himself up on everything. He has started to cruise a little bit, so I think walking will follow soon. With all his pulling up we have had a couple of bumps, but they never seem to stop him. He will bump his head and keep going without shedding a tear. It is only later that the bruises pop up! We had to install a baby gate because Jackson has become curious about the stairs. He managed to go up two of them with mommy right behind him. He has also expanded his food repertoire. He is eating peas, cheerios, Nutrigrain bars, chicken, turkey, mac and cheese (made with breast milk) and even had his first taste of chocolate frozen yogurt (shhhh...don't tell anyone). Jackson is also a busy little bee and wants to be on the go all the time. It has made changing his diaper and putting clothes on quite challenging. I have actually learned to put on the diaper and dress him while he is standing up. We are leaving tomorrow for a trip home to Indiana. Jackson can't wait to see Aunt Sarah, Uncle Mike, Cousins Katie, Nathaniel, Great Grandma Czech, Aunt Patty, and Uncle David. It should be fun! Here are some pics from the week. Enjoy!

Jackson loves to pull himself up on the gate. He gets very excited.

Go Go Go!

Noni and Grandaddy bought some Nike shoes for Jackson that daddy just can't wait for him to be able to wear, so we decided to try them on him. They were still a little too big!

It is much more difficult for me to move with these things on my feet!

Big smiles!

I had to get a picture of his curly hair. It is getting a little out of control so a first haircut may be right around the corner!

This is Jackson giving kisses to the door stopper. He is taking that game to the extreme!

Jackson's hair after his bath. Daddy calls him the Nutty Professor.

Our nightly routine of post bath wrestling to get the diaper and pajamas on.

Jackson has really started to notice the camera. As soon as I pull it out he comes over and starts smiling. I think he likes the flash the best.

Pulling up on mommy to see the camera.

This is another favorite game. As soon as Emma goes out to eat her food, Jackson will crawl over to the door, pull up, and watch her.
Someone please let me out of here! Wish us luck on our trip North!
