Halloween 2016 is in the books and oh what fun we had! We started off the season with a pumpkin carving party for Jackson's 643 baseball team. The kids did a great job with their pumpkins and had so much fun together!
I got in the Halloween spirit by making some fun desserts for the party. I made these Jack Skellington and Monster cake pops. Unfortunately, Lavaball got out of our room in the middle of the night and decided to eat all but 4! Luckily I had 2 other desserts made and quickly made a back up!
Monster sugar cookies.
My backup. Meringue ghost chocolate tarts.
The boys with their finished products.
Beckett's pumpkin!
Jackson's. Jackson's had an elaborate design in the front and 643 carved into the back. You can see the front a little later...oh the suspense!
The next day Jackson had his first tournament. These boys have been practicing 2 1/2 hours 2 x a week for the last 2 1/2 months. This was the first time they were able to show off their new learned skills. I think he looks ready for the big day!
They boys rotated all positions but Jackson got to play both pitcher and catcher. During his pitching debut he had 2 strike outs and the 3rd was an easy hit to first and out. 3 up and 3 down! He also did great catching or in the words of Coach Goodhart, "This is ridiculously good, Jackson!"
The boys played hard but lost the championship game to a team that had been playing together for 2 years. Not too bad for their debut!
Triple crown runner ups! It was a long, hot day. We left at 8 am and didn't return until 8 pm! It was fun though! We are now off for baseball until spring season starts in January. I'm not sure what we are going to do with all of our free time!
Happy Halloween from Kai and Viking Jackson!
The boys were so excited for trick or treating this year! They were giddy in the morning. We left from our house and headed to Wright street for a little parade and then started trick or treating for there. We then ended the night at the Eubanks. The kids were so funny! They dumped all their candy out and started trading. It so reminded me of me and my sisters during this time. So fun!
Jackson's monster pumpkin!
Mary and Jackson at the parade. Could they be any cuter? Greg asked Jackson what his favorite part of Halloween was and he said getting to be with Mary. Young love!
Beckett and his buddy Parker...I mean Batman.
Ninja down! After the third loop around the park, this one was done!
First house! Look at those candy smiles!
Beckett was so funny! His favorite candy is Nerds, so he would go up to each house hoping to get Nerds. He was batting zero until finally.....
I got Nerds mommy!
The crew! This was definitely our best Halloween yet. It was easy, simple and the kids had a blast with their friends. It was so nice to be able to just watch the kids running to each house!
