Oh the holidays are here and I just LOVE it! We had such a fun Thanksgiving break!! Thanksgiving started with this sweet little Indians musical at school. It was on a Monday, but I managed to block my schedule so I had just enough time to make it there and see him sing! He did great! At first, he kept saying "Mommy!" and waving to me, but then he started singing. :)
So cute!!
After the concert, they had a feast of muffins and fruit. This is his sweet placemat he made.
I didn't have time to stay for the feast, but I am so glad I was able to see him perform! Love that little guy!!
There has been a lot of activity going on at our house construction wise. The guest house, new fence, and a new firepit. The kids have obviously watched the building, so they decided they were going to build their own firepit. First, they needed some brick.
Then they got the mortar wet.
And finally, they started stacking.
Not bad! The next day was freezing!! They wanted to test out their pit so we put some wood in and lit it.
Waiting for the wood to catch fire.
Then we had to see how it was for smores making. It worked great!
Thanksgiving this year was a little different. We weren't able to spend it with family, so we decided to host a Friendsgiving! It was a great time! Although we missed our families, these friends should be called family anyways. Here are the boys with the girls. :)
I bought ornaments for all the kids to paint. They really got into it! Here is pretty Mary getting ready to paint hers.
Concentrating so hard!
Sweet Gracie. She tells me she is going to marry Beckett. :)
Beckett working hard!
Beckett's masterpiece! Beckett is in a stage where he won't let me pick clothes out for him anymore. He only wants to wear a couple tshirts and this Lightning McQeen shirt is one of them. Not the ideal Thanksgiving outfit, but oh well!
Jackson's masterpiece :)
No Thanksgiving can be perfect! Little did we know as we were crafting, the dogs got in and ate half of my beautiful apple pie :(
Friendsgiving 2015! We the Longacre/McMurry's, Eubanks, and Wonders over for dinner and the Moffett's and Foster's joined us for dessert. Perfect day!The next day it was time to go to Home depot to pick out our trees!! I can't believe it is almost Christmas!!! This is Jackson's new picture pose. Too cool for school!
Christmas time!
That night our plan was to go ice skating on the new Marietta rink with some friends and then all come over to our house afterwards for pizza, smores, and hot chocolate. Well, it was 72 degrees so everyone decided we should wait on the ice skating until it was a little colder. We still had the pizza and smores though!
A little smokey but sweet friends. We love our new firepit!!
The next day it was time to cut down our Christmas tree at the Christmas farm! Here are the boys with their saw trying to find a winner!
The boys really wanted a tree in their room, so this year we have 4 Christmas trees!!!!!! The funny thing about the farm is that it is very difficult to really judge the size of the tree. It seemed reasonable until we got it in their room. Oh well!
We had a pretty dull saw this year, so the boys had to really work to get it down!
This kid cracks me up! He can entertain himself anywhere! Notice the clothing both my kids are wearing. I had cute Christmas tree cutting outfits for them, but they weren't having it! Beckett chose his 2nd favorite shirt...Batman.
Thank goodness daddy is strong! He had to haul both trees all the way back to the car.
We me the Konops and Chavers at the farm and the kids had a blast running around playing.
Picture shenanigans.
I'm not sure how this came about, but we decided to take out tree family photo cirque de soleil style this year ;)
It's not easy getting these kids to pose anymore! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are looking forward to all the upcoming fun holiday traditions! We are also getting super excited to celebrate the boys birthdays!
