First Steps!

Well, last night, October 28th, Jackson took his first steps. He walked from daddy to mommy. It was so special that both mommy and daddy were able to see it together. He was very excited, but definately still prefers crawling. He actually took 2 tiny little steps this morning at music class. I don't think it will be long before I am running around chasing him. I can't believe how grown up he is becoming. Jackson is also getting more adventurous in his eating. He loves anything spicy! We took him to Willy's, and all he wanted to do was suck the salsa off the chips. It was so funny! We are also very excited for Jackson's first Halloween this weekend. Last weekend he was in a Halloween contest at our church with his friend Nathaniel. They were Monkey See and Monkey Do and actually won first place!  Needless to say, there are more picture of Jackson as a monkey :)

We went to the pumpkin patch again. This time the weather was much more fall like.
Hay ride!
This is a picture of Jackson at Willy's with a large piece of tomato on his face. He had no idea it was there. Very similar to someone else in the family.....
Monkey See and Monkey Do!
Sarah, Sammy, Jackson and Nathaniel at the church fall festival. They all had so much fun!
As you can see the Monkey See and Monkey Do signs did not last very long attached to the wagon. As soon as the boys realized they were there, they kept removing them.
My little monkey sitting in the grass.
Like a true monkey....eating leaves.

10 months and Halloween Party!

Jackson is now 10 months old and is so much fun! Here is in the walker that Aunt Glo and Uncle Joe gave him. It is so funny to see him zip around the house in it. He gets so excited! He turns corners as smoothly as his daddy's new BMW. Jackson is standing for longer periods of time and occasionally will test the waters with a small little step. We keep waiting for that big first step! Jackson has also learned to wave bye bye. After his bath, when we let out the water, we will wave bye-bye to it. We are getting very excited for Jackson's first Halloween. We had a Halloween party at gymboree, so Jackson got to try out his costume, which is a monkey.  It was so much fun. There are lots of pictures of him in his monkey suit, because I just couldn't resist!! Yes, I am that mom who takes a billion pictures of their child and thinks everyone else wants to look at them as much as she does :) Enjoy!

We have upgraded to the big boy carseat. Now Jackson can kick back and relax in his comfort cruiser! Thanks mom  and dad.
I have so much more room now!!

What an upgrade!

Jackson's good friend Talin came in from New York for a visit. He turned 1 this month and they had so much fun! Of course, Jackson couldn't resist eating the table cloth.

The boys kept looking at eachother and laughing. It was too funny!

Towards the end of the night the boys were getting a little sleepy, so Uncle Wehbi entertained them with Sesame Street on his iphone.

Jackson went with mommy to the carwash and had so much fun watching the clean cars go by.

Jackson loves to give his duck a ride. He was walking all around the "dining room" with him.

My sweet little monkey!!

Posing for the picture that was part of his first craft he made for mommy and daddy.

Climbing all over everything just like a little monkey!

After he "jumped" into the parachute.

Playing peek a boo with the pumpkin. Jackson spent most of them time trying to eat it.

Crawling through the tunnel. Jackson's hat kept falling over his eyes, so it was hard to get a good picture.

Jackson kept trying to chase the other older children up this ladder.

Once he found this rubber pumpking it was all over. He never went anywhere without it. Maybe he should have been a dog for Halloween?

Going through the tunnel with the pumpkin in his mouth.

Watching baby gymbo (the puppet) fly around. He kept having to lift his head up so he could see!!

Jackson's first craft. It is a pumpkin magnet. I had to help him with most of it, but it was still a lot of fun!! Well, that is all for this week. See you next week!

Almost 10 months and Pumpkin Patch!

Well, Jackson will be 10 months on Saturday, and I just can't believe it!! He is such a funny little boy with a personality as big as his daddy's. He loves to make people laugh so once you laugh at something he has done, he will continue doing it. He is really starting to stand on his own for longer periods of time, so I think walking is just around the corner. We went to the pumpkin patch this past weekend, and I think I took more pictures than anyone would care to look at! Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Jackson in a sea of pumpkins!

Jackson loved to crawl around and slap each pumpkin.

Smack, Smack, Smack!

Standing like a big boy on the wagon wheel!
As soon as Jackson found the gourds, it was all over. All he wanted to do was chew on them!

Family shot at the pumpkin patch! By this time we had been out there for a long time, and it was very hot!!
Jackson clapping as he saw the pumpkin he wanted to take home.
Picking out his favorite pumpkin.
Clapping because the search was finally over!
2 little pumpkins in a pumpkin patch
Trying to get a picture of Jackson in front of the scarecrow unsuccessfully. The hay was just way more exciting. Well, you made through all the pumpkin pictures! We will see you next week.

9 3/4 months and Mollie's Wedding!

We had another busy week ending with Mollie's beautful wedding on a farm in Milledgeville, GA. Jackson stayed in his first hotel room and despite the fact that we upgraded to a suite in hopes that Jackson would sleep...he had other plans. He woke up multiple times, but we had a wonderful time anyways. Jackson's two top teeth have broken all the way through so now we are up to 4. Jackson's favorite games this week are opening everything up and seeing what is insided and mimicking noises that you make. His favorite sound right now is "doy" and he says it all day long! It is so funny. He also has a new face where he will close his eyes and scrunch up his face. It is a riot! The first picture is of Jackson at music class. He is holding a flashlight which he loved. He is supposed to be shining it on the ceiling as we sign Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, but he was having much more fun eating it! Well, here are some pics from the week. Enjoy!

Music class is so much fun!

Jackson making his scrunchy face and helping mommy pack all of the clothes that no longer fit him :(

Packing away his clothes I got very nostalgic. This is the hat he wore in the hospital that was so big we had to roll it up. Now it won't even come close to fitting his head!

Jackson next to his Northside shirt that he wore when he was born. The picture doesn't do it justice on how small it was. I know he was that small, but it is so hard to imagine! Where did my baby go?

I tried to swaddle him one last time, but as you will see in the next picutre, he thought it was a fun game. It is hard to believe that he used to sleep every night all bundled up like that!

Escaping from the swaddle!

Jackson laughing as he was giving Emma kisses.

Jackson "helping" mommy pack up his clothes. Everytime I put something in the container, he would take it out.

The family at Mollie's wedding.

Jackson dancing with daddy.

Noni dancing with Jackson and Mary.

Jackson's favorite spot..on daddy's shoulders!

Jackson was so pooped from all the excitement that he actually fell asleep in my arms! How much did I love that!!

What can I find in here?

Bye Bye! See you next week!!
